Wine tasting event to benefit ministry serving 700 monthly meals

St. Charles Episcopal Church is hosting a Feeding Ministries fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at The Wine Exchange, 1 Illinois St., Unit 140 in St. Charles.

The church has an extensive history of feeding those in need in the Fox Valley, with over 30 years of service to the Trinity Sandwich Board and Hesed House, 15 years of their monthly Free Spaghetti Dinner, and most recently adding Carroll Towers and Lazarus House to their ministry.

As corporate food donations have declined, the need has increased, with the church now currently serving close to 700 meals each month. They hope to be able to sustain their level of assistance and be prepared to handle any growth the community requires.

The fundraiser will include wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and silent auction, desserts, and additional wine purchases; non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. Tickets can be purchased via thewineexchangestc.com or stcharlesepiscopal.org.
