Naperville police seeking suspect who accosted women on park paths

Naperville authorities are asking for the public's help identifying this person, who's suspected in the unwanted touching of two women near public paths last month. (Naperville Crime Stoppers)

Naperville police and the Naperville Park District Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who made unwanted physical contact with two women over the last week near park district paths.

The first incident occurred about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, near Hillside Road and Washington Street, according to a bulletin issued by Naperville Crime Stoppers. The second happened about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, near Gartner Road and Edgewater, the organization reported.

Neither woman was injured, officials said.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 17 to 22 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and carrying a backpack while riding a larger-style e-moto bike and perhaps wearing Apple-style headphones.

Anyone who may recognizes the person, had additional video of him or has information regarding the incidents is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 548-2955 or NapervilleCrimeTips@naperville.il.us. Tipsters also can call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006 or napervillecrimestoppers.com.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest, and tips can be made anonymously, the organization said.
