Cleburne sweeps six-game series from the Dogs

Cleburne swept the Chicago Dogs in a six-game series, taking Sunday’s game by a final of 10-6.

Dominic Guzman had the only positive pitching performance of the night for the Dogs with two scoreless innings to finish the game. He gave up two hits, walked none and struck out five. Regi Grace gave up seven earned runs and Cade Herrmann gave up three earned runs.

The Dogs’ Jaxx Groshans hit two home runs against his former team, driving in five runs. The other run was knocked in by Jacob Maiben in the top of the second inning, and brought the Dogs within a run at the time.

Groshan’s home runs were his 22nd and 23rd of the year, and brought him up to 75 RBI on the season.
