Inside Out Club’s Celebrity Bartending Event returns Sept. 1

Inside Out Club is bringing back its popular Celebrity Bartending Event on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Go Brewing, 1665 Quincy Ave., Unit 155 in Naperville.

The free community event brings together local celebrity bartender teams for a friendly competition to raise the most tips for Inside Out Club and take home the coveted TIP-siest Bartender trophy.

This year’s competition features three teams:

• Emmy & Meg — A mother-daughter duo and longtime Inside Out Club volunteers who are ready to put their knowledge of the organization and their competitive spirit to work behind the bar.

• Emily & Stephanie — Last year’s reigning TIP-siest Bartenders return to defend their title with a new partner in crime. The neighbors and friends both have children who have participated in Inside Out Club programs, giving them an extra reason to compete for the win.

• Perry & Teri — Representing Lincoln Prairie Community, this duo has attended Celebrity Bartending in previous years to cheer on friends and neighbors. After watching the competition from the sidelines, they're ready to pick up the torch and make a run for the trophy themselves.

The TIP-siest Bartender is the team that raises the most in tips. Each team’s total will include cash and credit card tips collected during their hour behind the bar, and donations made in their honor by 8:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at insideoutclub.org/donate/.

The winning team will be announced that evening.

“Celebrity Bartending is one of those events that brings our community together in such a fun way,” said Marion B. Ruthig, founder and executive director of Inside Out Club DuPage. “People can come out, enjoy a great evening, support their favorite bartender, and know that their tips are helping create opportunities for local kids and teens to build character, confidence, and leadership skills.”

The evening also will feature live music from Bobby K, who returns for another year. A seasoned musician with more than 20 years of experience, Bobby will provide live entertainment throughout the event.

Guests can enjoy live music, food provided by your local McDonald’s/Kory Management, a raffle, and a great atmosphere at Go Brewing, along with plenty of friendly competition. No tickets are required, and admission is free.

Guests are encouraged to bring friends, enjoy the evening, and tip generously for their favorite team.

All proceeds benefit Inside Out Club, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering children and teens to develop strong character and make a positive impact in their communities.
