Learn about Geneva’s six key goals during 2030 Strategic Plan meeting Sept. 17

The public is invited to learn about the future direction of Geneva during the city’s 2030 Strategic Plan community update at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St.

Hosted by the city’s Strategic Plan Advisory Committee (SPAC), the interactive event is designed to be engaging and informative as attendees learn about different aspects of the plan. The evening will start with an overview presentation, followed by opportunities to examine the city’s priorities, progress and performance indicators for the six plan goals, as well as SPAC subcommittees.

A strategic plan serves as a valuable tool for city leaders to identify goals, prioritize resources and guide development to ensure Geneva remains a vibrant and prosperous community. Feedback from the meeting will help SPAC determine next steps and future outreach efforts.

Developed with broad community input, the Geneva 2030 Strategic Plan focuses on six guiding principles: strong governance; informed residents; purposeful growth and economic vitality; a safe, active and welcoming community; environmental stewardship; and quality infrastructure and services.

RSVPs for the event are preferred but not required via geneva.il.us. For more information, contact Assistant City Administrator Ben McCready at (630) 938-4540 or by email bmccready@geneva.il.us.
