Carpentersville police investigating incident near school bus stop Friday morning
Carpentersville police are investigating after a high school student near a bus stop said they felt threatened when approached by several people wearing masks Friday morning.
According to a news release from the Carpentersville Police Department, officers responded at about 7:20 a.m. to the area near Robin and Thrush streets.
Officials say that the student was able to board the school bus and the driver safely left the area.
Police said there are unconfirmed reports that a weapon may have been involved. The circumstances surrounding the incident, including the identities of those involved and the motive, are under investigation.
