Vendor space available for annual Maine Township community garage sale

Vendor spaces at Maine Township’s annual — and massive — community garage sale are available for purchase.

The bargain-hunting extravaganza is set to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19 in the township hall parking lot, 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge. The event will go on rain or shine.

Eighty vendor spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a news release from township officials. Sellouts are common, though, so if you want to sell your stuff you might want to act fast.

Maine Township's annual community garage sale is scheduled for Sept. 19. It'll be held rain or shine. (Maine Township)

Spaces are $30 or $35, depending on size and location. Table rental is $10 in advance or $20 on the day of the garage sale, if available.

Vendors can reserve and pay online using credit cards, debit cards or eCheck. All sales are final.

Proceeds from the vendor space sale will benefit Adventure Maine Township Summer Camp, which provides educational experiences to eligible kids. The township’s MaineStay Youth & Family Services Department coordinates the camp.

Free coffee will be available. Breakfast and lunch items will be for sale.

Business sponsorships are available, too. Fees range from $100 to $500.

Learn more or sign up at mainetown.com/sponsor. Sponsors already include state Sen. Laura Murphy and state Rep. Justin Cochran of Des Plaines; Flood Brothers; and Parkway Bank.
