Bears are just stalling

The Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren says Hammond, Indiana, is the team's “sole focus” for a new stadium project.

Pritzker and the Illinois state legislature are trying to stall until the November election is over. If they act now, they're in a CATCH 22 situation. Use taxpayer dollars to financially satisfy the Bears to keep them in Arlington Heights and the people of Illinois will revolt, resulting in many elected officials not getting reelected.

On the other hand, if they let the Bears go to Indiana, the same thing will happen.

That's why they need to stall until the election is over. Then, they can give the Bears anything they want.
