Family Fest highlights business and community resources

Children’s activities including craft projects and visits with superheroes and miniature horses were among the attractions Saturday during the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce Family Fest at Citizens Park in Barrington.

Suzanne Corr, chamber president and CEO, said the event is a great opportunity to bring local businesses and community organizations face-to-face with potential customers and patrons in a family-oriented environment.

“It really is about bringing together resources that are available in our community in their own backyard,” Corr said. “We encourage businesses to have family and kid-oriented giveaways and activities.”
