Two men arrested after suspected drug deal in Des Plaines, police say

Two men were arrested Tuesday in Des Plaines after police observed what appeared to be an illegal drug transaction, authorities said.

Prince Jooster, 26, of the 900 block of East Golf Road in Arlington Heights, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance; misdemeanor possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle; and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license, Des Plaines police said.

George Gutierrez, 41, of the 5600 block of North Bernard Street in Chicago, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor manufacturing, delivering or possessing cannabis with intent to deliver, according to police.

Police said officers saw Gutierrez and Jooster make several hand-to-hand passes in a parking lot before driving off in separate autos. Officers stopped both vehicles and found suspected cannabis and cocaine inside, police said.

Both suspects were processed and released.
