Barefoot Bay Water Park lifeguard team earns Outstanding 5-Star Safety Audit

Mundelein Park & Recreation District has announced that the Barefoot Bay Water Park lifeguard team has earned an Outstanding 5-Star Audit from StarGuard ELITE, one of the nation's leading aquatic risk management and lifeguard training organizations. The audit, conducted on July 11, recognized the aquatics team's exceptional commitment to safety, preparedness and guest service.

The comprehensive StarGuard ELITE audit evaluates every aspect of an aquatic facility's safety program, including lifeguard vigilance, emergency response readiness, supervisory practices, facility conditions, operational procedures and documentation. Barefoot Bay Water Park received top marks in every category evaluated, an achievement that reflects the professionalism and dedication of the entire aquatics staff.

During the audit, the team earned outstanding results in:

• Eight 5-Star lifeguard observations

• Supervisor observations

• Skill testing evaluations

• Facility inspection results

• Documentation review

Receiving perfect scores across all categories is a significant accomplishment and demonstrates the team's unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aquatic safety.
