The many ways country is being mismanaged

After already spending billions of taxpayer dollars with no end in sight our “secretary of war” just asked Congress for additional handouts to continue a war with no stated objective other than “Iran will never have nuclear weapons.” For that spending, we have received skyrocketing gas prices, damage to U.S. military compounds, lives lost and global economic disaster caused by waylaid shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

One man seemingly aims to destabilize international trade by applying haphazard unwarranted tariffs on imports into this country. The switch continues to flip on and off depending on his mood.

Unmarked immigration patrols continue to harass innocent people frightened of being arrested, injured or killed. A growing number of detention centers have become overcrowded and marked by inhumane living conditions. Most “detainees” are not violent criminals but undocumented folks who have for years been contributing to our economy.

The administration’s alternate reality conspiracy theories continue to incite distrust while going to great length to promote and foment divisiveness and denigration of people of color, females, homosexuals, science, opposing political parties, other countries and the media. The target list continues to expand.

Consumer protections affecting quality of health, food, air, water, competition have been purposely reduced or eliminated. Supporting the general welfare seems to be an anachronism on this, the 250th anniversary of its declaration.

At the same time large-scale financial and societal corruption proliferates with conflicts of interest, insider trading and pay-to-play deals to promote oligarchical control of government, the economy and society in general.

All the while excessive amounts of time, effort and money are being spent by this administration to transform our nation’s capital city into one person’s living memorial at taxpayer expense.

I could go on …
