Everything from farm animals on display to traditional carnival food to sheep herding demonstrations are at the DuPage County Fair through Sunday, July 26, in Wheaton.
The annual fair draws tens of thousands of visitors. More than 180 years ago, farmers in the DuPage County region wanted to bring the community together and show off their wares so they took turns hosting an annual fair. They promoted their farming, baking, animals and equipment, much like today. The DuPage County Fair is now held every year at the DuPage Events Center and Fairgrounds located at 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton, on the DuPage County Municipal campus.
