Sign up for the Inferno Fest Eating Contest July 22

Celebrate Highwood is turning up the heat as the infamous Inferno Fest Eating Contest comes to the Evening Gourmet Market at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Originally scheduled for June 24, the contest was rescheduled due to rain.

The Inferno Fest Eating Contest is for ages 18 and older. The rules are simple: whoever can eat the most of La Casa de Isaac bolas infernales, aka the “great balls of fire,” without calling for a Lifeway Kefir Cool Down, wins a $100 gift card for ABT. Second place will receive a $50 gift card for ABT, and everybody who participates will receive a free bottle of event sponsor Gindo’s Spice of Life’s hot sauce.
