Vintage cars and more at car show in downtown Round Lake

The annual village of Round Lake car show rolls into downtown from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23.

Classic and muscle cars, vintage vehicles, custom builds, and modern showpieces will be on display at Cedar Lake Road and Avilon Avenue (between Nippersink Road and Route 134.)

Registration begins at 5 p.m. $10 cash only. Enter via Goodnow Boulevard from Nippersink Road. Spectator admission is free with parking available in the Metra lot, Route 134 and Cedar Lake Road.

Festivities include music throughout downtown; Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four; and, cornhole. Car-themed temporary tattoos for kids. Awards will be announced shortly after 8 p.m.
