Attic fire in Naperville home causes estimated $100,000 in damage
A fire in the attic of a Naperville home Tuesday afternoon caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, but resulted in no injuries.
Firefighters were called to the home on the 1000 block of Williamsburg Drive just before 4 p.m. Tuesday after residents reported smelling smoke inside the home.
Firefighters found a small fire in the attic and extinguished it.
Fire officials said the cause of the fire was “unintentional.”
The house was deemed habitable, despite the damage and returned to the residents.
