Garbage pickup in Hoffman Estates to be an hour earlier next week due to heat

Due to the excessive heat forecast for the week of July 12, Groot will start garbage and recycling operations an hour earlier than usual in Hoffman Estates to try to avoid the afternoon heat.

Pickups will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 13, and on Wednesday, July 15.
