Wheaton reschedules July 4 celebration for July 12 after weather cancellation

While communities across the region were forced to cancel Independence Day celebrations and fireworks displays due to inclement weather, the Wheaton Park District is giving residents and visitors another opportunity to celebrate America's 250th anniversary with the rescheduled Festivities, Fireworks & Drone Show on Sunday, July 12, at Graf Park.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with family-friendly festivities, food vendors, and entertainment. The celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks and drone show display beginning at 9:15 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to enjoy the festivities before the evening’s grand finale.

Event details, parking information, and updates are available at wheatonparkdistrict.com.

As with all outdoor events, the Wheaton Park District will proactively monitor weather conditions before and throughout the evening using Perry Weather technology and National Weather Service forecasts. Event updates are communicated through the park district's website, Weather & Status Updates page, and official social media channels.
