Improv Playhouse selected as host site for Disney’s Camp Rock ACA promotion
Improv Playhouse has announced its participation in Disney’s nationwide Camp Rock promotional campaign, an initiative launched through the American Camp Association in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company. The campaign features official Disney staff touring select ACA-accredited camps across the country to deliver immersive experiences centered around music, creativity, performance and storytelling. As one of a select number of ACA-accredited performing arts camps nationwide, Improv Playhouse Performing Arts Camps has been chosen to participate in this national collaboration.
The special Disney Camp Rock promotional event will take place on Thursday, July 30, exclusively during the final session of Improv Playhouse’s Summer 2026 Performing Arts Camps: its “Frozen” Musical Theatre Camp, licensed through Music Theater International. This exclusive engagement will provide registered “Frozen” campers with access to Disney-led workshops, interactive activities, promotional experiences and special surprises.
This recognition comes on the heels of another major milestone for Improv Playhouse. The organization recently completed its fifth ACA accreditation review, achieving a remarkable 100% compliance score across every ACA protocol and standard, an accomplishment that places Improv Playhouse in exceptionally distinguished company within both the camp and youth arts communities.
ACA accreditation is widely recognized as the gold standard in camp safety, operations, programming, leadership and risk management. Achieving perfect compliance reflects Improv Playhouse’s longstanding commitment to excellence and the trust families place in the organization.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for our campers and for our organization,” said David Brian Stuart, founder and executive producer of Improv Playhouse. “To be selected as part of Disney’s national Camp Rock campaign is both exciting and deeply affirming. It reflects the caliber of programming, professionalism, and excellence we have worked to build over more than two decades.”
“We have always believed that the arts can transform lives,” Stuart said. “When young people are invited to step into creativity, imagination, collaboration and courageous self-expression, something powerful happens. They grow; not just as performers, but as human beings.”
“This opportunity is especially meaningful because Disney has long understood something we deeply value at Improv Playhouse: great storytelling inspires wonder, builds connection, and creates memories that stay with us for a lifetime,” Stuart said. “To have official Disney staff bringing that energy directly to our campers during our final ‘Frozen’ camp session is tremendously exciting.”
Stuart also emphasized the significance of the camp’s operational achievement.
“I am enormously proud of our staff and leadership team. Earning 100% on our fifth ACA accreditation review did not happen by accident. It reflects years of disciplined systems, rigorous safety standards, thoughtful programming, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. That excellence allows families to trust us with what matters most: their children.”

The Disney Camp Rock activation during the “Frozen” camp session represents a unique convergence of world-class entertainment and performing arts education, giving young campers a rare opportunity to engage directly in an immersive experience connected to one of Disney’s iconic musical properties. To ensure a safe, focused and well managed experience for all participants the Improv Playhouse summer session will have required criteria including, but not excusive of the following:
