‘No bull’: Lake County sheriff’s deputies find wayward cows

A pair of cows that wandered away from their home and were found “chilling” in a parking lot in central Lake County were reunited with their owner Saturday morning, authorities said.

Lake County sheriff’s police said the pair — one black and with, the other mostly brown — were spotted early Saturday at Route 120 and Wilson Road, near Round Lake.

“We’re ‘bull-ish’ on the idea of finding their owner, so they can help corral them,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a social media post.

About two hours later, the sheriff’s office reported that they’d located the owners and reunited them with the bulls.

“We ‘herd’ you and weren’t ‘steered’ wrong!” the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook. “We’re officially ‘closing the gate’ on this one, as we found the owners, so you can all ‘moo-ve’ on and enjoy America’s 250th Birthday!!”
