Celebrate 250 Years of America at Lincolnshire’s 2026 Red, White & BOOM! Festival

The village of Lincolnshire invites residents to celebrate Independence Day at Red, White & BOOM!, a two-day community festival with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and longstanding local traditions. This year’s festivities also honor a historic national milestone: the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event will take place Friday and Saturday, July 3-4.

The first day of the festival will feature a full afternoon of amusements for all ages, including balloon art, face painting, bounce houses, water slides, a climbing wall, petting zoo, trackless train, ziplining, food trucks and drinks, touch-a-truck and more from 3-8 p.m. in Lincolnshire's North Park, 1025 N Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire.

The Lincolnshire Bolts will take the stage at 3:30 p.m. for a performance, followed by live music from the Dirty Pop Band at 6 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event.

On Saturday, Red, White, & BOOM! events take place all day throughout Lincolnshire, starting with a 5K Race at 8 a.m. in the Spring Lake Park neighborhood, followed by a parade at 10 a.m., the Pedal to the Park decorated-bike ride with officers to Spring Lake Park, 49 Oxford Drive, Lincolnshire. Activities in Spring Lake Park will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, including a cookout hosted by Scouting America Troop 78, a Cardboard Boat Regatta at 1 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m., games, music, a petting zoo, a foam party, a dunk tank, food and drinks and more.

Both the 5K race route and parade route are different this year due to construction in the area. Find the updated map with route information and fireworks viewing sites, as well as activity line up, parking details and other information, at lincolnshireil.gov.

Overlapping with Red, White, & BOOM! the annual Lincolnshire Art Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. Hosted by Amdur Productions, this two-day event transforms Village Green into an open-air art gallery featuring artists from across the country. Stroll the Green, meet artists and browse unique artwork ranging from paintings and photography to jewelry, sculpture and mixed media pieces.
