Des Plaines blood drive set for July 22

Illinois Sen. Laura Murphy is partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois for a community blood drive event next month in Des Plaines.

The blood drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St.

Participants should eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating. Photo identification is required. Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to register before the event at donateblood.versiti.org.
