Plane makes emergency landing in Bartlett field

A pilot and passenger escaped injury Saturday after their small plane made an emergency landing in a Bartlett field Saturday morning, authorities said.

The plane landed at about 10:50 a.m. near West Bartlett and Naperville roads, according to the Bartlett Fire Protection District. Both occupants had exited the aircraft safely by the time rescue crews arrived, officials said, and there was no obvious damage to the plane.

The aircraft was removed and transported to Bartlett Fire Station 3, where it will remain secured pending the FAA’s investigation, fire officials said.
