Summer Music at Bethel opens season with mezzo soprano Kelly Hill

On Friday, July 10, Summer Music at Bethel kicks off its season with renowned mezzo soprano Kelly Hill and pianist Jeffrey Panko.

The program will feature the music of Alma Mahler, Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Kurt Weill. It will be at 7 p.m. at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 E. St. Charles Road in Elmhurst. Freewill donation taken at the door.

A graduate of the Yale Opera program and a recent graduate of the University of Iowa where she received a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in vocal studies, Hill’s extensive stage appearances include leading roles in “Carmen” and “The Marriage of Figaro” to concert programs of Stephen Sondheim and George Gershwin. She has apprenticed with the Cedar Rapids Opera, Central City Opera, Santa Fe Opera and the Aspen Music festival. Visit facebook.com/MusicAtBethel/.
