Body found in Des Plaines lake, foul play not suspected

Foul play isn’t suspected in the death of a Rosemont man whose body was found Wednesday in Des Plaines’ Lake Opeka, authorities said.

A visitor to the lake spotted the floating body a little after 8 p.m. Firefighters tried to resuscitate the 61-year-old man but weren’t successful.

The death is under investigation.
