The Arlington Heights Police Department continues the investigation of an attack that occurred around 11:15 p.m. Sunday near Lake Arlington, in the area of Windsor Drive and Jonquil Circle.

Working with the victim, an Arlington Heights Police Department Forensic Composite Artist developed a composite sketch of the attacker, who is described as a Black man, about 6 feet tall with an average to muscular build, long braided hair that was tied back, and circular wire framed glasses. He was wearing all black clothing and was riding a bicycle.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the composite sketch or surveillance image is asked to call 911 or the Arlington Heights Police Department at (847) 368-5300.

Detectives also encourage residents and businesses to review any surveillance footage from the late evening hours on June 7 for any images that may assist the investigation. Because the suspect was traveling by bicycle, detectives ask the public to consider reviewing footage even if their cameras are not in the immediate area of the attack.
