Cook County Commissioner Morrison hosts Outdoors Day June 20

Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison will host his seventh annual Outdoors Day and fishing derby on Saturday, June 20, at Busse Woods forest preserve.

The fishing derby will take place at Grove #25 at Busse Lake, within the forest preserve, from 9 a.m. to noon. Fishing derby participants are encouraged to register at https://buff.ly/PH2BFLJ or by calling (847) 519-7674. The event is free.

Fishing derby participants do not need a fishing license during Father's Day weekend. Limited bait will be available and prizes will be given for a variety of categories.

Morrison will be in attendance along with community partners including the Arlington Anglers Fishing Club, Brookfield Zoo Chicago, Forest Preserves of Cook County, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Minds with Motion, Cook County Department of Environmental Sustainability, and Cook County Health.

Complimentary ice cream and popsicles will be provided by Good News in the Neighborhood.
