Dogs swept by Lake Country

The Chicago Dogs were swept by the Lake Country DockHounds after dropping the final game of the series 8-2 on Sunday.

Chicago, which lost its fifth straight game, scored first after singles from Ethan Wilder and Jacob Maiben set up a sacrifice fly by Tyreque Reed. The DockHounds quickly tied the game in the second inning. The Dogs reclaimed the lead in the third inning thanks to a solo home run from Wilder.

A three-run third inning gave Lake Country the lead for good.

Dogs’ starter Regi Grace Jr pitched five innings, giving up seven hits, five earned runs, and three walks while striking out three. He was relieved by Rayne Supple and Jacob DeLabio.
