Lake Zurich, Dist. 95 conducting emergency response training Wednesday

The Lake Zurich police and fire departments, along with Lake Zurich School District 95, will be conducting a joint training exercise at Lake Zurich Middle School South and Issac Fox Elementary School from approximately 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3.

The exercise will include multiple squad cars and fire engines/ambulances on scene. The school campuses will be closed to public access that day.

Residents in the surrounding area may notice increased police, fire and emergency vehicle activity, as well as loud noises, emergency announcements and other simulated emergency response activities.

However, it is solely an exercise and there is no emergency, officials say.

The exercise provides an opportunity for school staff and community partners to strengthen coordination, communication and emergency response procedures, officials said.
