Elk Grove Village 70th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt

Elk Grove Village residents are invited to celebrate the community’s 70th anniversary with a villagewide scavenger hunt running from June 1 through July 31. Participants will solve clues to 20 locations throughout town and collect code words at each stop for a chance to win prizes.

Clues and entry sheets are available at elkgrove.org/hunt, and paper “passports” with clues can also be picked up during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at village hall, 901 Wellington Ave., Elk Grove Village. At each location, participants will find a sign featuring information about the site and a unique code word to record.

Completed passports must be turned in during regular business hours by 5 p.m. on July 31 to village hall, along with proof of residency.

All residents who complete the scavenger hunt before the deadline will receive a small prize. Eligible residents who correctly submit all 20 code words will also be entered into a raffle for a custom Elk Grove Village Clocktower building block set made with genuine Lego bricks. Thirty winners will be selected, limited to one prize per household.

Additional details and eligibility requirements are available at elkgrove.org/hunt. Information on more 70th anniversary events can be found at elkgrove.org/70.
