The model president should be following
It appears that this nation’s president considers himself to be a Christian. So was the Apostle Paul, who founded several churches in the Middle East more than 2,000 years ago. Paul, St. Paul to many, was human, yet he was greatly assisted by the power of the Holy Spirit.
To say that Paul was resilient is something of an understatement. In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul recounts receiving 39 lashes five times, three times being beaten with rods, stoned once and three times shipwrecked.
Our president might enjoy hearing how Paul was once bitten by a viper. Undaunted, Paul shook the viper’s grip on his hand and threw it into a warming fire. No ill effects resulted. What’s the point? Our hero Paul had a compassionate heart to match the size of his chutzpahs — the latter a quality our president doubtless takes pride in.
Paul tirelessly preached love, joy peace, patience, kindness and goodness. Hellooo, Donald.
