Two-day fine art show bringing over 110 artists to downtown St. Charles
The 28th annual St. Charles Fine Art Show will be held May 23-24 in downtown St. Charles, featuring over 110 local, national, and international artists with works available for purchase.
The free event will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday on Riverside Avenue between Main Street and Illinois Street.
Individuals who spend $250 or more in art at the show will be eligible to receive two free tickets to the Arcada Theatre, as part of the Artcada Purchase Program, sponsored by Onesti Entertainment.
Once a patron spends $250 on art, they can visit the information booth at the event with their receipts to obtain the voucher that they can redeem at the Arcada Theatre. The voucher is valid through May 22, 2027.
On Saturday afternoon, 10 Fine Art Show exhibitors will be presented with an artist award during the awards presentation. These awards recognize the artist’s originality, technique, execution, expression, and overall impression of their art. There will be six Awards of Excellence, three honorable mentions, and one Best of Show Award.
In addition to the juried art, visitors can enjoy local musicians performing live at Flagship on the Fox and Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling, and take part in painting a real car, provided by St. Charles Chrylser Dodge Jeep Ram and organized by the Pottawatomie Garden Club.
Paint a Car will be located in the St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Activity Zone, along with live artist demonstrations thanks to Fine Line Creative Arts Center.
On the other side of the Fox River, attendees can enjoy an Art & Music Experience on the 1st Street Plaza from 1 to 3 p.m. on both days of the show.
During this event, spectators will be able to experience the fusion of art and music, as local artist Caitlin Palagi brings the rhythm to life on canvas. She will be creating works of art alongside musical groups John Wesley Experience on Saturday and the Jack Macklin Trio on Sunday.
St. Charles Business Alliance Executive Director Jenna Sawicki invites families to come out to attend the event.
“The annual St. Charles Fine Art Show is the perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend, with activities for all ages to enjoy,” Sawicki said. “Whether you’re an art enthusiast, music lover, or looking to support our local businesses, the St. Charles Fine Art Show has something for everyone.”
