Man charged in December burglary at downtown Barrington business
Barrington police said a suspect has been charged in the December theft of $106,760 of merchandise from a downtown business.
Police said Jeremiah K. Brown’s vehicle was identified using Flock camera technology.
Others are likely to be charged, police said.
Barrington police received a report of a burglary at Restyle Designers Barrington Dec. 28.
Investigators used the camera technology to track the vehicle used during the burglary and also employed “advanced investigative and technological techniques” to build the case, police said.
Detectives also connected Brown with a separate burglary in Hinsdale in January.
Brown faces one felony count of burglary. In compliance with the SAFE-T Act, he was released on a signature bond from the Barrington Police Department.
The case remains under investigation.
