Aurora’s Spring Food Truck Festival brings 30+ vendors to downtown May 15
More than 30 food trucks will line up on Benton Street, between River Street and Broadway, in downtown Aurora, serving an array of culinary delights.
The spring Food Truck Festival will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 15. From the famous Ricobene’s Food Truck to a host of international flavors, including Tiki Terrace Hawaiian, Yum Dum, and Casita Boricua, the fest is expected to draw thousands from Aurora and the surrounding area.
“We are very excited to bring a diverse collection of top-tier food trucks to this year’s Spring Food Truck Festival,” said Christina DiCristofano, the city’s special events coordinator. “With over 30 trucks set to come out, plus a DJ and no admission fee, we are proud to provide everyone with an opportunity to visit Aurora and enjoy all that the city has to offer.”
The food trucks and vendors include: A-Town Lemonade, Brother's Mac, Burger Xpress, Casita Boricua, Cousins Maine Lobster, GiGi’s Grill, Girl's Got Balls, Grumpy Gaucho, Hippie Gourmet Grilled Cheese Truck, JJnMemes, Kings Kuisine, La Chula, La Michoacana Sweet Bliss, Little O’s Frozen Treats, Moo Munchies, My Funnel Truck, Nick’s Pizza Truck, Ricobene’s, Royal Blue BBQ, Saavedra Tacos, Smeauxk BBQ, Society 57, Spoon Burger, Strawberries BBQ, TamalesPlus, Tapioca Loca, Taste Greek Street Food, Tavern On Broadway, The Gordito Tacos, The Happy Lobster, Tiki Terrace Hawaiian, Two Brothers Roundhouse, Wild Fries, Yum Dum, and Zhel’s Kitchen & Catering
The free event will include a variety of food trucks that feature diverse cuisines, live music and family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon animals, and bubble shows.
The fall Food Truck Festival will be Friday, Sept. 25.
