Buffalo Grove, M/I Homes break ground on Highbury Club
M/I Homes and Buffalo Grove officials broke ground last week on the Highbury Club, a 9-acre, 33-home single-family development.
The homebuilder said the first deliveries for the development at 301 Weiland Road are planned for early 2027.
Highbury Club will offer three designs, with five different exterior elevations. The two-story homes are priced from $749,990 and range from 2,300 to 2,700 square feet, with three or four bedrooms, full basements and attached two-car garages.
Two of the available floor plans will offer a loft, offering the opportunity for a secondary living area, extra bedroom or remote work space.
“These homes are configured so floor plans can really adapt to each buyer’s lifestyle,” said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes. She added the Highbury Club is more intimate in size than similar new-construction developments. This will, she said, give residents a true neighborhood feel.
The builder has opened pre-sales and is scheduling private appointments for buyers to select lots and floor plans from the first release of home sites.
“Now that land development is underway, we’re excited to also announce the start of pre-sales for Highbury Club,” said Rick Champine, M/I Homes area president. “We expect sales to go fast with only 33 homes available.”
The homebuilder is touting the proximity to Stevenson High School and Aptakisic-Tripp Elementary District 102 schools, as well as the nearly Buffalo Grove Metra station, which is 5 minutes away and provides weekday service. The development also is 8 minutes away from Interstate 294.
M/I Homes, celebrating its 50th year in 2026, also operates in Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee, as well as the Chicago area.
