Woman found dead after disturbance in Campton Hills

Campton Hills police are investigating the death of a woman found dead late Friday after officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 4N600 block of Brookside West Drive.

Authorities have not identified the woman, who was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived at the scene at about 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Police have said the death is an isolated event and there is no threat to the community.

A spokeswoman for the Kane County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy is planned for Monday.

Campton Hills detectives, with assistance from Fox Valley Major Crimes Task Force and the Kane County Coroner’s Office, are investigating he circumstances surrounding the death, officials said.
