Learn about police and fire safety at Lake County First Responders Expo

A two-day event to support first responders will be held May 16 and 17 at Gurnee Mills, parking Lot E, 6170 W. Grand Ave., Gurnee.

The 27th annual Lake County First Responders Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. It will include more than 50 police and fire departments, safety activities, food trucks and police dog and crash scene extrication demonstrations and more.

Activities include the Waukegan Fire bomb squad and robot, kids fire pole and an obstacle course and child car seat check.

On Sunday, the annual Rods for Remembrance Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support first responders, their families and veterans.
