Alarming views on pope

Mr. Vercillo’s letter to the editor on April 27 is both amusing and alarming. Mr. Vercillo questioning the pope is laughable, as is him calling the pope “the patron saint of the left.” What’s alarming is if he really believes what he wrote and his questioning the pope on so many levels he clearly has no clue about.

Perhaps if those who express such views would stop watching the Fox propaganda network, or even worse Newsmax when there’s nothing real news about it, they would learn what it’s like to be a person who is against war, attempts to eradicate hunger, shows empathy for the poor, is a voice for the less fortunate, and sees things through the eyes of love, caring and peace.

Since this writer is an obvious Trump supporter, he sees none of those characteristics and understands even fewer. People should be alarmed at others who “think” like that.
