9-year-old boy critically injured after being struck by vehicle in Aurora

A 9-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Aurora Wednesday.

Police were called to the 400 block of Titsworth Court, near the city’s downtown area, at 4:11 p.m. for a report of vehicle hitting a pedestrian.

The boy had suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital before being transferred to a higher-level trauma center for advanced care, police said.

The boy’s injuries have since been stabilized, but his current medical condition is unknown.

The driver of the vehicle was cooperating with police in the ongoing investigation. No citations have been issued.
