Naperville Crime Stoppers offer reward in investigation of reported shots fired downtown

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in an investigation into reported shots fired in the city’s downtown last week.

According to police, patrol officers heard the suspected gunshots coming from an alley near the 0-100 block of East Chicago Avenue around 8 p.m. on Friday, April 17. Police have stated that responding officers observed several juveniles fleeing the area. Officers also found evidence consistent with gunfire.

There is no indication that anyone was hurt.
