Garage fire in Carpentersville causes $150,000 in damage

A garage fire in Carpentersville on Friday, April 17, caused an estimated $150,000 in damage.

According to a news release from the Carpentersville Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 2300 block of Arrow Drive for a fire in an attached garage that was extending into the residence.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and firefighters were able to bring it under control quickly. No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation.
