Fire officials look for cause of Carpentersville garage fire

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a garage fire in Carpentersville Friday morning.

Officers from the Carpentersville Fire Department responded to the 2300 block of Arrow Drive around 11:40 a.m. and found an attached garage on fire, with the fire extending into the residence.

Crews contained the fire shortly after arrival, and confirmed no occupants were inside at the time of the fire.

One neighbor was evaluated on scene for possible smoke exposure but declined transport to a hospital.

No firefighter injuries were reported.
