Giving DuPage Days fundraiser returns to help nonprofits

Giving DuPage will host its 7th annual Giving DuPage Days community fundraiser benefiting local nonprofits through May 1.

People can donate to their favorite charity through the event until 1 a.m. on May 2. Last year, Giving DuPage Days raised about $215,000, which benefited 69 nonprofits serving residents in DuPage County.

The benefiting agencies provide food, support seniors, deliver health care and related services, improve literacy, support family caregivers, aid and shelter pets and create housing solutions.

This year, organizers hope to raise $300,000.
