Aurora man facing drug charges
An Aurora man is facing drug charges after an investigation by state police, Aurora police and the Kendall County Police Assistance Team.
Leonel Valtierrez, 28, was arrested Monday at his home in the 900 block of Rural Street in Aurora, after authorities searched it.
According to the Illinois State Police, they seized a gun, more than 120 grams of cocaine, more than two kilograms of illegal cannabis and cannabis products, and pills they suspect are MDMA.
Valtierrez is charged with armed violence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of MDMA and possession of psilocybin. All are felonies.
On Tuesday, a Kane County judge ordered Valtierrez to be detained pretrial in the Kane County jail. His next court date is April 22.
