Man shot on Gilman Trail in Aurora

A man was shot early Monday morning on the Virgil Gilman Trail in Aurora.
Aurora police responded around 3:24 a.m. to an area along the trail between Sard Avenue and River Street.
Police say the man suffered a “lower body injury.” The man is hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said.
Authorities said there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
