Churchill Place seniors create Easter baskets for families in need
Residents at Churchill Place an Anthem Memory Care community, came together to assemble and deliver Easter baskets for families served by the Metropolitan Family Services DuPage.
The residents collected donated items to fill baskets, turning a seasonal tradition into a community service project aimed at bringing holiday cheer to local children.
This year, the baskets were distributed to grandparents raising their grandchildren as well as children living in shelters throughout the center’s programs.
“Giving back to the community brings a deep sense of joy and purpose to our residents,” said Ismael Lagunes, life engagement director for Churchill Place. “The project also sparked meaningful memories of past Easters with their own children and grandchildren.”
Churchill Place is located at 190 Geneva Road, Glen Ellyn.
