Moose-a-Palooza music fest raises funds for Mooseheart
The ninth annual Moose-a-Palooza Music Fest and Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 29, will feature eight bands over two stages for a full afternoon and evening of fun and great music.
All net proceeds help the Batavia Moose Lodge support the needs of the children at Mooseheart Child City and School.
Our music lineup consists of amazing local talent with each band having a connection to our Lodge:
The Masus Financial Main Stage will open at 1 p.m. with GNP, which Jim Freedlund and Mark Voigt first formed in the late 1960s at Batavia High School, then decades later they later got together again to perform at the class reunions in the 2010s and have continued performing since.
Saint Astro, an Aurora four-piece rock band that blends indie alternative and funky Americana, at 2:15 p.m., followed by the Valparaiso, Indiana band Head Honchos performing American blues, rock, soul, and funk at 4 p.m.
The Big Al Wetzel Band, a Lake Geneva, Wisconsin ensemble that performs fan favorites of every genre including rock, country, pop, blues, funk and reggae to name a few, will take the stage at 6:30 p.m.
The 212 Degrees Construction Stage will open with the Corey Marshall Band, an Orlando, Florida group which blends rock, pop, and soul at 1:30 p.m.
Sour Crow, featuring longtime friends and band mates Jeremy Sauer and Mike Crow, perform vintage rock, blues, and country covers at 3:15 p.m.
The Sociables, a Southern rock band from southern Wisconsin, will take the stage at 5:15 p.m. The Fox Valley-based Pawnshop Horns will close out the show at 9 p.m.
