Common-sense leader needed

While I want a leader who is quick on his feet, I don't want one who is prone to rash decisions — like getting our nation into a reckless, unauthorized war that does little more than satisfy his own ego and that of his equally ruthless counterpart in Israel. I long for a return to office of a leader (of either party) who prioritizes common sense and strategic planning over a need to maintain a high profile on the world stage.
