Award-winning twin pianists to perform at Music at Bethel March 28
Music at Bethel, celebrating its 27th season, welcomes the Gallwas Twins in concert on Saturday, March 28.
Joseph and Kenneth Gallwas are award-winning classical pianists from Elmhurst. They are currently seniors at York Community High School. They will perform piano duet music of Bach, Chopin, Richard Strauss and Piazzolla.
The concert will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 E. St. Charles Road in Elmhurst.
Tickets are $28.52 or VIP tickets for $39.19. Students are free. Tickets are available via musicatbethel.com.
Recent prize winners of national and international solo and duet competitions, the Gallwas twins will bring their technical brilliance and musical passion to the Music at Bethel audience. Concertgoers are sure to marvel at the combination of aplomb, expressiveness, and musicality these two brothers possess at such a young age.
The Music at Bethel series continues on Sunday, April 26, with “Virtuosity!” featuring violinist Andrew Sords.
The concert will begin at 5 p.m. Sords will be joined by Jeffrey Panko in a riveting performance of sonatas by Beethoven and Grieg, and the hauntingly beautiful “Schindler’s List” suite by John Williams.
