Moeller to host annual Reading by the River event April 18

State Rep. Anna Moeller will host her fourth annual Reading by the River event as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin.

Readers joining Moeller for the storytime include Jorge Juarez of the Elgin Police Department and Andrea Vargas and Karen Ceballos from Enriching Partnerships for Early Learning. The reading will take place in the library’s Kidspace area and will feature stories read in both English and Spanish.

The event is free and open to the public.
